I have noticed tons of forum members have all gone and started their own blogs to experience the joys of blogging. As a result the forum’s activity is increasingly dropping. In fact the visitors are all spammers of which i get an average of 3 spam member sign ups a day.
Thus IDAsia.org must move with the times and will strive to become the official META-blog for all Industrial Designers in Asia. A meta-blog is like a blog directory listing but in our case it will focus on Industrial Designers in Asia.
It was before about designers, and now it still will be about the designers.
Before it was about networking designers, and now it will still be about networking designers, the difference is now it will work with the new internet medium which is the Blog instead of the cumbersome Forum backbone.
We learn, adapt, continue and change.
However fear not as the forum still exists, for offsite discussions, competitions, and collaborations. These activities are still very much in the core of IDAsia.org.
What about designers that don’t blog? All the better, in the next few days the IDAsia.org front page will start aggregating all the great content form all the blogs into one place so non-blogging designers just need to visit one place.
